About Your Inspector – Ennio Aguilera
Let me start by saying that I understand what it’s like to purchase and maintain real estate because I’ve been there. Over the past twenty years, I’ve been a first-time home buyer, landlord, and handyman; I’ve worked in condominium management, project management, structural foundation/masonry repairs, and as an engineering technician, I’ve overseen municipal servicing inspections.
I know what it’s like to experience an unforeseen home expense or carry out that overdue bathroom renovation. I also know what it’s like to dig out the entire foundation of a home, support the structure above, and replace a basement wall! Moreover, as a father of three beautiful children and husband, I appreciate the challenges of managing home repairs and maintenance, while trying to keep up with a growing family.

In my wide-ranging experience and as an InterNACHI Certified Property Inspector (CPI), I’ve seen my share of building issues and have learned to identify defects and construction practices that can lead to significant costs for homeowners. I have also built a network of trade professionals to consult with on new projects.
In addition to being a CPI, I have dual diplomas from Algonquin College: Heritage and Traditional Masonry and Construction Engineering Technician (with honors). I also continue to pursue further education in building sciences and system dynamics modeling.
Technology has dramatically changed the building industry and heightened the demand for better-performing homes that are predictable, comfortable, and safe to live in. That’s why I have sought out user-friendly software that can better relay our clients’ inspection information, facilitate scheduling and payment options, and help our clients with day-to-day maintenance.
Whether you are a prospective home buyer that needs immediate help identifying potential issues in a home or simply want to develop a game plan to tackle home ownership in the coming years, I look forward to hearing from you and helping you address your needs.
